Description:
With the support of Joe Maddon ’76 and the Tampa Bay Rays, the Friends of Lafayette Baseball is holding a series of auction fundraisers to supplement Lafayette baseball’s operational budget on an annual basis and support other large-scale projects germane to the program.

Joe Maddon has donated his four (4) tickets at selected Major League Baseball games and various stadiums throughout the 2012 season. In addition to the tickets, the winner of each individual game auction will also receive four (4) field passes for batting practice and participate in a meet and greet with Rays Manager Joe Maddon prior to the game.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds will benefit the Lafayette baseball program. Any amount bid that is over the value of the tickets can be considered a tax deductible donation per IRS regulations.*

The winning bidder must dress and act accordingly in a professional and courteous manner while participating in this experience. At the sole discretion of the Tampa Bay Rays, if at any time during the experience the winning bidder is not acting in a professional and courteous manner, the Tampa Bay Rays may end the experience and no refund or additional services will be offered to the winning bidder whether or not the entire experience was completed. The winning bidder may be required to sign an indemnification waiver prior to participating.

In the issue of a rain-out, winning bidders may choose to attend the makeup date or be refunded their bid. If batting practice is cancelled, the meet and greet will be held in the Rays dugout.

Lafayette College’s Office of Athletic Communications and Promotions will contact the winning bidders of each auction. Lafayette will coordinate with the Tampa Bay Rays the winner’s contact information. An official letter for both Lafayette and the Tampa Bay Rays will be sent via email to the winner. The letter will contain the appropriate contact information, time and location for proper tickets pickup at the respected location. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Lafayette College Office of Athletic Communications and Promotions at [email protected]
